Hi and welcome to our blog.
Our inaugural post commences a series aimed at providing information on what Wellness Coaching is, how it differs from traditional coaching and counseling, as well as the benefits which Wellness Coaching can bring about.
But first, what exactly is Wellness Coaching?
Combining theory from Coaching Psychology, Behavioural Change and Positive Psychology, the wellness & health coaching profession helps to close the gap between what people say they want and what they actually do.
Wellness coaches support clients in working out what they want, why they want it, what’s stopping them from getting there and how to create a plan to achieve their goals.
Clients are enabled to take responsibility, to feel confidence in their ability to achieve goals through small successes, which ultimately leads to more significant and sustainable change.
Wellness coaches support their clients to find success and satisfaction from their lifestyle and to make lasting changes to their health and wellbeing.
A wellness coach can:
- assist you to set positive lifestyle goals
- work with you to identify what you really want & need to make your life happier and healthier
- help you to find ways to break negative, habitual behaviours
- encourage and support you along your individual journey to a healthier, happier you
- offer motivational tools and personalised support to help you overcome obstacles you may face along your unique path to better health and wellness
- provide you with accountability (an important component to lasting change)
